Getting the word out about our events is key to the success of the Compass Theatre and Manor Farm sites. Whilst we spend what little marketing budget we have on tried and tested methods such as the brochure and weekly press advertising, there is always more that can be done.

We are therefore looking for volunteers to act as Arts Ambassadors and help us with two aspects of furthering our publicity:

1. When a new brochure is printed, we would like two volunteers to stand at the entrance to the shopping centre in Uxbridge on a Saturday and spend maybe just an hour handing brochures to shoppers. We are always proud of a new season going on sale, and surprised to find Hillingdon residents that still don’t even know we exist. Just this small activity, one hour, three times a year would be of great benefit.
2. We are trying to ensure that the brochures and some posters are evenly spread across the borough. We are fortunate to be part of the same council service as the libraries so are able to get the brochures distributed across the borough through them, but would be grateful to have more sites that are willing to be a collection point for people to browse and take our brochures. These might be waiting rooms at dental practices, vets or staff rooms of local businesses for example and they only need take perhaps 10 or 20 brochures, 3 times a year.

Some of our volunteers are already helping us find and distribute to sites in particular areas but we still need help in Hayes, Harefield, Cowley, West Drayton, Northolt, Hillingdon and South Ruislip.

If you live or work in any of these areas and would be willing to try and find one or two sites as described, please let us know. If you are also able to find site that would be good to display one or two A4 posters then we would be very grateful to hear about those too.
